Johnson Might Leave Liverpool Next Year

Glen Johnson is on the verge of leaving Liverpool soon and is all about to speak to foreign teams with the beginning of transfer window come January 2015.

He was about to enter into contract extension with Anfield but everything has come to a stall at present. The 30-year-old would b free agent from next summer with the right to sign up pre-contract deal with foreign squads from 1st of January, next year. He has so far thwarted Liverpool’s 12-month extension offer that carried 120,000 pounds -a-week agreement.

Liverpool’s extension offer came earlier in 2014 but is still not signed by the defender. Johnson is basically eyeing a longer-term deal which is not being offered from Liverpool – and even the best Liverpool betting odds suggest that Johnson will move on.

While approached on updates regarding his contract status, Glen said “very quiet”. The player further added: “I’m simply concentrating every week & not pondering about it. Definitely, I would love to stay yet I tend to worry about the present week & then the next week & so on. This is how I’m living my life now.”

Glen got back from his 6-week injury leave & admitted that he was quite disappointed for not being able to recover before England squad decision for 2016 Euro qualifiers against Estonia and San Marino.

“I would’ve loved the international hiatus to come the next week. This way I would have been able to produce myself a s available and fit. Definitely, with the team being decided past Thursday, I could not be incorporated as I have not played for 6 weeks”, he remarked.
