Henderson thankful to manager Rodgers

Jordan Henderson has expressed his gratitude towards Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, claiming that he has ‘improved tactically’ under him, Sky Sports understands.

After questions had initially been asked over his big money move to Anfield from Sunderland in the summer of 2011, the 23 year old has developed into one of the key members of Brendan Rodgers’ side, for whom he has scored three goals and contributed five assists in the league so far this season.

Johnson takes swipe at former boss Mourinho

Liverpool full-back Glen Johnson has admitted that he lost respect for Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, before claiming that Brendan Rodgers is a better boss, the Mirror understands.

The 29 year old has criticised the Blues boss for dropping him for a Champions League match against Barcelona in when the pair worked together at the London club.
