Glen Johnson is on the verge of leaving Liverpool soon and is all about to speak to foreign teams with the beginning of transfer window come January 2015.
He was about to enter into contract extension with Anfield but everything has come to a stall at present. It would be fair to say that the saga involving the appointment of the next Liverpool manager has been prolonged to say the least. A whole host of candidates have been linked with the position and while it appeared as though Roberto Martinez was all but certain to net the job, Brendan Rodgers then came out of nowhere and was offered the position.

For the past week most people have assumed that Roberto Martinez was all but certainly set to land the position as Liverpool’s new manager. However, recent events appear to have turned the situation completely on its head, with Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers now the bookies favourite to take over from the recently sacked Kenny Dalglish.
Having been given permission by his chairman and flown over to discuss the terms of a possible appointment, it was assumed that it would just be a matter of time before Roberto Martinez was appointed. Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has said that he expects Liverpool to improve massively over the next few weeks, although he has said that he has not seen the club perform as poorly as they have been doing in recent weeks.
Liverpool are on a worst run of form, which has not been seen with the Anfield club for more than 53 years. As a result of just one victory in their last seven matches, Liverpool are just hanging on to their eighth position in the table.
