On Yarmolenko, Moyes said the Ukranian international skipper sustained an injury before the Europa League game at Genk thus making him a doubt for the Liverpool game. Yarmolenko missed the Europa League clash at the home of Genk which ended in a 2-2 draw. Joseph Paintsil gave hosts Genk the lead in the fourth minute and the Hammers were able to turn the game on its head in the second round thanks to the brace from Algerian international Said Benrahma. The Algerian was on course to be the matchwinneruntil a Tomas Soucek own goal three minutes from time ensured that the two teams shared a four-goal thriller equally.

On Croatian national team star Vlasic, Moyes said the summer signing missed the Genk game due to injury and he’s a doubt for the visit of Liverpool in the Premier League. West Ham United signed Vlasic in the summer, but he’s yet to nail down a place in the starting XI. Vlasic has not been able to displace Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen in the attacking positions at the East London club.

West Ham United are not the only ones with the injury problems. As a matter of fact, Liverpool can miss as many as six players for the game. Brazilian international Roberto Firmino will miss the game with a thigh problem. Apart from Firmino, other Liverpool players such as Naby Keita, Harvey Elliott, James Milner, Joe Gomez and Curtis Jones will also miss the game.
