Liverpool set for summer clear out

Liverpool have no intentions to send Stewart Downing out on loan next season, with winger leading a list of players reportedly heading for Anfield exit door.

The Mirror claim that Fulham want to take the England international on short term deal, but the club are only willing to listen to permanent offers for they player the paid £20 million for two years ago.

Uruguayan defender Sebastian Coates, who has only played seventeen times since signing for Liverpool in 2011, is also available at the right price, as is Jonjo Shelvey who despite having a good run in the side in December, started only two Premier League games in 2013.

The Liverpool Echo also list a treble of players who appear to have played their last games for the club.

Danny Wilson, who spent the second half of the season on loan with Hearts, is expected to make his move to Tynecastle permanent, while Dani Pacheco and Oussama Assaidi have also reportedly been deemed surplus to requirements having failed to make an impression on the first team.

Hull City and Fulham are also said to be monitoring the situation regarding the England international, who started just eight league games for Villa last season.
