LIVERPOOL WILL MISS GERRARD

Liverpool will be without the services of captain Steven Gerrard for the match against Arsenal after the England midfielder was injured on international duty.

Steven Gerrard was one of the players injured in a match against Netherlands, which has certainly infuriated Kenny Dalglish given that it was a meaningless friendly for England.

Steven Gerrard, Chris Smalling, and Daniel Sturridge were the players injured in a match. Liverpool will be coming into the match after having won the Carling cup a few weeks ago. This was their first major trophy since 2006, and it would hand them a major advantage over Arsenal, who have been without a trophy since 2005.

However, the lack of Steven Gerrard in the first team is expected to be a major weakness for Liverpool. After making his comeback from injury a few weeks ago, Steven Gerrard was a major influence in Liverpool winning against Cardiff city in the Carling cup final. Gerrard scored the winning penalty, while his brother managed to miss the penalty for Cardiff city. Along with Steven Gerrard, Kenny Dalglish will also be without Daniel Agger in the central defence. Daniel Agger is expected to miss up to 4 weeks of first-team action.

This is a very important match for Liverpool given that their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next depends a lot on this match. Arsenal are currently seven points ahead of Liverpool, but they will have the opportunity to extend the lead to 10 points with victory against Liverpool at Anfield.

Anfield is the place where Arsenal last lifted their Championship trophy in the late 1980s. He will be reviving the memories of the victory, which handed them the trophy, this weekend as well. Robin van Persie is the man to watch out for Arsenal, as he has already scored more than 30 goals this season.
