Rodgers in constant talks with Suarez

Sky Sports has reported that Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he is constantly in discussion with Luis Suarez as he tries to convince the striker to remain at Anfield.

The Uruguayan has been strongly linked with a move away from Merseyside this summer, with Arsenal seemingly to most interested in securing the 26 year olds services.

However, the club are yet to meet Liverpool’s £40million valuation of the player.

He is expected to join up with his teammates later this month, after being given an extended break following his participation in last month’s Confederations Cup in Brazil.

Elsewhere, the Reds are set to battle Chelsea for the signing of Turkey international Burak Yilmaz, according to the Metro.

The Galatasaray man is one of the most wanted strikers in European football having scored 32 goals in 39 appearances last season.

The Turkish giants have revealed that they would be willing to sell the 27 year old, but only if the price is right.
Meanwhile, Fulham are preparing a £5million offer for Uruguayan defender Sebastian Coates, the Mail Online understands.

The 22 year old made just 5 appearances in the Premier League last season, and is set to fall further out of favour following the arrival of Kolo Toure.
