We could win the league, we could win a cup, we could win against every other club this season – but this is the one that matters: Liverpool v Man United. Win it, and we’ll be happy, Brendan Rodgers will go on to have a long and brilliant career – hopefully glittering with trophies – and we’ll get back on our perch! Lose it, and the fans will be starting to wonder just what is going on, and how we’re going to get out of the relegation zone. Lose it, and we’ll all be desperately unhappy until christmas…

But there is so much to be positive about: we’re coming off the back of a glowing performance, everyone important is fit, and we’re even scoring goals again. Plus, we always do well against United…!
