Luis Suarez ha confirmed at a Uruguayan press conference that the wants to leave Liverpool.
The 26 year olds future at Anfield has been the subject of much speculation since he was suspended for ten matches for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic in the 2-2 home draw back in April.
The Reds striker claims he no longer feels comfortable in England, citing the press of having gone too far in their criticism of him following a number of indiscretions during his Liverpool career.
Suarez was suspended for eight matches during the 2011/12 campaign after being found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United’s Patrice Evra.
In the same season, he was handed a further one batch ban for making an offensive gesture towards a Fulham fan.
However, it was the incident against Chelsea where he received the most severe punishment, missing the final four games of last season, with the ban set to continue six games into the next campaign.
Real Madrid have been linked with a £40 million pound move for the player who hit thirty goals for the Reds last season, though Suarez insists that there are currently no offers on the table.
European Champions Bayern Munich are also said to be interested.
