Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said that he wants to win trophies with Liverpool. He said that he does not want Liverpool to be known as an entertaining side but rather as a side that win trophies. He said that it is true that they have been good offensively and scored plenty of goals but this will be of no use if they do not manage to win trophies.

Going into the first leg of the Champions League tie between Liverpool and Manchester City, not many punters or pundits gave Liverpool a chance of qualifying to the semi-final stage of this season’s Champions League. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists his side are still on the hunt for the title despite falling nine points behind table-toppers Manchester City. The Reds were frustrated on Saturday as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Manchester United, who opted for a defensive approach to their game.
Since the stalemate, questions have been raised over the Reds progress after securing just one win in the last eight games in all competitions. In a report quoted by The Mirror, Klopp believes the club remain in the pursuit of the English crown and backs them for continued success in the years to come.
Following on from the disastrous start to the campaign, former Reds defender Stephane Henchoz says that the club don’t have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League this term. The 38-year-old also claims that Brendan Rodgers’ men will be lucky to finish in the top six and has even listed countless other teams that he thinks could finish above Liverpool. Continue reading
