Klopp Wants To Win Trophies

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said that he wants to win trophies with Liverpool. He said that he does not want Liverpool to be known as an entertaining side but rather as a side that win trophies. He said that it is true that they have been good offensively and scored plenty of goals but this will be of no use if they do not manage to win trophies.

Indeed Liverpool has managed to score 300 goals since Jurgen Klopp has taken over as manager of the club and has established themselves as one of the most entertaining sides in the league. Earlier in the season, the team was facing some defensive worries where they were conceding too many goals and they have managed to address those issues. Jurgen Klopp said that the team has now become stronger defensively and that they are not giving away cheap goals.

Can Liverpool finish the job?

Going into the first leg of the Champions League tie between Liverpool and Manchester City, not many punters or pundits gave Liverpool a chance of qualifying to the semi-final stage of this season’s Champions League. Manchester City, the runaway league leaders were tipped by many online sports betting punters to win both home and away. That was not to be the case as Liverpool proved that the earlier win against Manchester City in the Premier League was not a fluke result as the team dismantled Manchester City by 3 goals to nil. Liverpool passed these two tests in the first leg winning by a 3 goal margin and avoiding to concede an away goal. Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool are still title contenders

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists his side are still on the hunt for the title despite falling nine points behind table-toppers Manchester City. The Reds were frustrated on Saturday as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Manchester United, who opted for a defensive approach to their game.

Since the stalemate, questions have been raised over the Reds progress after securing just one win in the last eight games in all competitions. In a report quoted by The Mirror, Klopp believes the club remain in the pursuit of the English crown and backs them for continued success in the years to come.

Henchoz doubts Champions League aspirations

Following on from the disastrous start to the campaign, former Reds defender Stephane Henchoz says that the club don’t have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League this term.
